Observing Thoughts Meditation

Observing your thoughts meditation is one of the first meditations I teach in my programs, it’s a simple and effective way to become aware of the thoughts within your mind and know that just because you have a thought does not make it real, or something you need to believe. It reminds you that you have lots of thoughts, most of these are habitual thoughts repeated, the same from yesterday, and most of those are focused on the negative. This meditation teaches you to observe your thoughts, from the seat of observer, creating space between you and your thoughts.

This is one of the core tenants of practicing meditation and living a mindful life, and something all meditation teachers and practitioners come back to time after time.
